Hello everyone,

I can't believe I'm 9 months pregnant and at the end of my pregnancy! It's truely flown by, I don't understand when people say they felt their pregnancy dragged on. For me its been the opposite!

We had the pleasure of getting our maternity photos done this past weekend, It was the most amazing experience and I'm so happy I will have these pictures forever to cherish!

When picking a photographer it was a no brainer that we were going to choose Poppy and Sage Photography. I have been a huge admirer of their work for a long time so it was an absolute delight to work with them. They really captured our personalities so well and made us feel so comfortable, which is exactly what you want when getting professional photos done. We are so delighted with how our photos turned out, they also have an amazing instagram feed which you can check out here.

My dresses are from Nest Maternity and yes they are just as comfortable as they look! I couldn't pick just one dress and I ended up falling in love with these two gowns. They fit so well and made me feel like a princess which is what every heavily pregnant woman wants to feel like!

I have been getting so many pregnancy related questions from you guys so I've decided to answer some today in this post!

How I found out I was Pregnant: I was a week late but I absolutely did not believe I was pregnant. Sean went out and bought a pack of three pregnancy tests, I hadn't even finished peeing on the stick before two lines appeared! It was a strong positive straight away, no doubt about it. I was in shock, the next morning I took another test and sure enough those two pink lines appeared again! I couldn't believe I was pregnant, I went to my doctor and sure enough she confirmed I was pregnant! We were over the moon, Sean kept calling the baby Apple. Luckily that name didn't stick.

Best part of the first trimester: Hearing the baby's heartbeat for the first time and seeing her dance around on the ultrasound screen! Every single ultrasound technician has said she's the most active baby they have ever seen. I think I should be worried lol

Worst part of the first trimester: The nausea! I only ever threw up once from morning sickness but throughout the first 14 weeks I had constant nausea. I also gained 10 kilos in the first trimester alone, luckily that weight gain slowed right down!

Best part of the second trimester: My growing baby bump! It definitely felt real once I started to see my bump form! Finding out the gender, Sean predicted it was a girl from the get go. I also thought it was a girl at the start and then I changed my mind to a boy then back again. So really, I had absolutely no clue! We did a big gender reveal with our family. When the pink balloons came out of the box I was in shock so maybe deep down I thought it was a boy.

Worst part of the second trimester: The cravings! I craved all the things you really shouldn't crave. Like ice cream, corn chips, salt and vinegar chips, nuggets and fast food. Surprisingly I only gained around 5 kilos in my second trimester!

Best part of the third trimester: Settting up the nursery, It was so exciting picking out pieces to put in her nursery. The decor you can find for a baby girl's nursery is just divine! I can't wait to reveal her nursery to you guys very soon! My baby shower, It was amazing having my friends and family all together to celebrate me and my baby. It was such a magical day! Watching my bump grow and feeling her constantly kicking and moving around, I still can't believe there's a baby in there! Getting our maternity photo's done, it was the perfect ending to my pregnancy! This was my favourite trimester.

Worst part of the third trimester: All the health issues I endured. I was diagnosed with High Blood Pressure, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in my left hand and Pre eclampsia. I was in the hospital every week for blood pressure monitoring and I had to see my doctor and Obsetrician every second week. Lately it's been twice a week! Even though I have pretty much lived at the hospital this trimester, I still really enjoyed being pregnant during my last trimester.

I really hope this post has answered everyones questions! Sean and I are absolutely thrilled that we will be meeting our baby girl soon. We talk about her non stop and we just can't wait to see what this little human looks like. We have been taking bets on her hair, if she will have any and if so what colour will it be.

Love and light,

Lucinda
